Roots 2 Love — May Day Weekend in Kilburn
Roots 2 Love is a free two-day May Day weekend gathering celebrating the people, culture and stories of Kilburn.
Led by K2K Radio in collaboration with Granville Community Kitchen and Metroland Cultures, the weekend brings together residents, market traders, artists and community voices across Kilburn Square, the Market and Metroland Studios.
Friday 1 May | 6–9pm
The weekend opens with a special First Friday Club at Metroland an evening of music, shared food and live on-air conversations, creating a warm space to connect and set the tone.
Food will be available on the night. If you’d like to eat with us, please book in advance so we can plan numbers.
Saturday 2 May | 1–7pm
The energy moves out into Kilburn Square and the Market, with music from K2K DJs, workshops, open mic spaces, art activities and food from local traders.
Across the weekend you can also:
– Sit in on live radio conversations
– Share your memories at the Story Archive Booth
– Add your voice to the Wall of Belonging
Free, family-friendly and open to all. Come as you are, bring a neighbour and be part of it.
